DASHBOARD GUIDE

Voice dashboard

Auto-voice creates a fresh channel for every group that joins a hub. The voice dashboard is where you set the hub, ship templates, decide what owners can do, and watch live channels — all from six tabs.

Before you start

  • STANDARD tier or higher (some controls are PREMIUM/PRO-only)
  • You have voice.manage on this server
  • SYNTHET has Manage Channels, Move Members and Connect at the parent voice category
  • A voice category to host hub and child channels (created during setup if missing)

What you'll see

A header with a Save settings button and six tabs underneath. Live monitoring lives in Channels; everything else is configuration.

Overview tab

Read-first dashboard. Tells you whether voice is healthy.

Health badge

Top of the tab. Green if a hub is set, the bot has the right permissions and there were no errors in the last 24h. Red on misconfiguration with a one-click jump to the offending tab.

How it works diagram

An inline illustration showing the user → hub → cloned channel flow. Useful when explaining the system to other staff.

Cleanup rules

SettingTypeDefaultDescription
Delete when emptyToggleOnAuto-delete a child channel as soon as the last member leaves.
Empty grace periodSeconds30Wait this long before deleting. Lets owners reconnect after a Discord blip.
Max channels per userNumber1Prevents one person spawning many empty channels at once.
One hub or many?
A single hub plus templates is usually easier than one hub per template. Owners pick the template after creation via /voice template.

Templates tab

Ship fully-configured channel types. 11 built-in templates ship out of the box.

  • Edit name pattern, default user limit, locked-by-default flag, allowed roles.
  • Per-template feature overrides — e.g. allow region change only on Party squad.
  • Clone a built-in to a custom version, then tweak as needed.
Custom templates
Custom templates count toward your tier limit (3 on STANDARD, 10 on PREMIUM, unlimited on PRO). Built-in templates are free.

Features tab

Decide which controls owners get. Each feature has a tier.

Owner controls (free)

  • Rename channel — owner can change the channel name from chat.
  • Set user limit — change the connection limit.
  • Lock / unlock — block @everyone from connecting.
  • Kick users — disconnect a member from their own channel.
  • Claim ownership — non-owners can take over an abandoned channel.
  • Transfer ownership — owner hands the channel to another member.
  • Permit users — allow specific users into a locked channel.
  • Reject users — explicitly block a user from joining.

Advanced controls (PREMIUM)

  • Bitrate control — owners can step bitrate up to the server boost cap.
  • Region selection — pin to a specific RTC region.
  • Ghost mode — hide owner's join/leave from member-list.
  • Channel status — short status string above the channel name.
  • DM invites — owners can invite users by DM with a click button.
  • Linked text channel — companion text channel scoped to current owners.

Pro controls (PRO)

  • NSFW toggle — flip the channel to age-restricted.
  • Auto text channel — companion text channel created automatically.

Common questions answered here

  • Who closed channel X yesterday?
  • How many channels has player Y created this week?
  • Why did the staff template fail to spawn at 22:00?

Common tasks

1

Stand up auto-voice from scratch

No hub yet, fresh server.

  • Open DashboardVoiceSetup.
  • Click Quick setup. SYNTHET creates a parent category and a hub channel called Click to create.
  • Pick a default template — General is a safe choice.
  • Save settings, then connect to the hub yourself to verify a child channel spawns.
2

Add a raid-event channel for tonight

Bigger limit, raid-leader gets priority speaker.

  • Open DashboardVoiceTemplates.
  • Click the Raid event built-in card to open the editor.
  • Bump the user limit if needed.
  • Add the role that should get priority speaker under Special permissions.
  • Save. Members can now use /voice template raid_event to switch their channel.
3

Lock down NSFW unintentionally being toggled

Stop owners flipping channels to NSFW.

  • Open DashboardVoiceFeatures.
  • Find NSFW toggle under PRO controls.
  • Turn it off so owners can no longer set their channel as age-restricted.
  • Click Save settings.

Troubleshooting

No channel spawns when joining the hub
The bot needs Manage Channels and Move Members at the parent category, not just on the hub itself. Check role overrides — server-wide perms are not enough.
Channels not deleting when empty
The grace period defaults to 30 seconds. If Delete when empty is off, channels stay forever. Check Setup → Cleanup rules.
Owner control commands return 'feature disabled'
Each feature has to be toggled on in the Features tab and the user's tier has to match. PREMIUM advanced features won't work on a STANDARD subscription.
Hub channel deleted by accident
Voice falls back to a no-op state. Open DashboardVoiceSetup and click Quick setup again — your templates and features survive intact, only the hub pointer is reset.
