Giveaway Management

Control active giveaways, manage entries, draw winners, handle rerolls, and track engagement metrics.

Managing Active Giveaways

Full control over running giveaways with multiple management options:

Pause Giveaway

Temporarily stop accepting new entries without ending the giveaway. Resume at any time. Useful if you need to troubleshoot issues or suspend for announcements.

Resume Giveaway

Re-enable entry acceptance for a paused giveaway. Members can immediately start entering again.

End Early

Immediately end an active giveaway before the scheduled duration expires. Entry period closes instantly, ready for winner drawing.

Extend Duration

Add more time to an active giveaway. Specify hours or minutes to add. Message in Discord updates automatically.

Delete Giveaway

Remove a giveaway completely. Requires confirmation. Deleted giveaways can still be viewed in archive.

Viewing Entries List

Access a complete list of all participants in a giveaway:

Entries Table Features

User Column:User avatar, name, and Discord ID
Entry Time:When they entered the giveaway
Entry Count:Number of entries (accounting for multipliers)
Entry Method:How they entered (reaction, button, command)
Eligible:Whether they meet all requirements (yes/no badge)
Actions:Disqualify or view user details

Search and Filter

  • • Search by username or Discord ID
  • • Filter by eligibility status (eligible/ineligible)
  • • Filter by entry method (reaction/button/command)
  • • Sort by entry time, entry count, or username

Entry Count Display

Total entry count shows the combined effect of all multipliers. Example: User with 2x booster multiplier shows 2 entries if they entered once.

Drawing Winners

Select winners from eligible entries using automatic or manual drawing:

Automatic Winner Drawing

Happens automatically when giveaway duration expires. No action required.

  • • Winners selected from eligible entries only
  • • Account for all entry multipliers in selection
  • • No duplicate winners (same user can't win twice)
  • • All winners announced together in channel
  • • Each winner receives private notification DM

Manual Winner Drawing

Manually draw winners before or after scheduled time.

  1. 1. Click "Draw Winners" button in dashboard
  2. 2. Confirm the number of winners to draw
  3. 3. Review winners before announcing
  4. 4. Click "Announce Winners" to notify

Winner Verification

Before announcing, verify selected winners:

  • • View each winner's username and ID
  • • Confirm they meet all requirements
  • • Check if they're still in the server
  • • Option to exclude specific winners and redraw

Fairness Assurance

SYNTHET uses cryptographically secure random selection. All winners are logged with timestamps for complete transparency and audit trail.

Rerolling Winners

Select new winners if needed after the initial draw:

One-Click Reroll

Instantly draw new winners to replace previous ones. Previous winners are replaced in announcement.

Reroll Process

  1. 1. Navigate to the giveaway in dashboard
  2. 2. Click "Reroll Winners" button
  3. 3. Confirm the action (displays old and new winners)
  4. 4. New announcement posted, old winners notified

Common Reroll Reasons

  • • Original winner can't be contacted
  • • Winner declined the prize
  • • Winner no longer meets requirements
  • • Winner requests removal
  • • Running a tie-breaker draw

Reroll Announcements

New reroll announcement includes:

  • • Original winner names (if applicable)
  • • New winner(s) selected
  • • Reason for reroll (optional note)
  • • Link to original giveaway

Reroll History

Complete audit trail shows all rerolls, timestamps, and changed winners. Accessible in giveaway details.

Disqualifying Entries

Remove specific users from eligibility if needed:

How to Disqualify

  1. 1. Open the entries list for the giveaway
  2. 2. Find the user to disqualify
  3. 3. Click the three-dot menu and select "Disqualify"
  4. 4. Provide a reason (optional but recommended)
  5. 5. Confirm disqualification

Disqualification Effects

  • • User cannot be selected as winner
  • • Doesn't remove their entry from history
  • • Marked as "Disqualified" in entries table
  • • User is not notified automatically
  • • Can be reversed by clicking "Requalify"

Common Reasons

  • • User doesn't meet level requirement
  • • User missing required role
  • • User is banned from server
  • • Duplicate entry from same user
  • • User violates giveaway rules

Giveaway History and Past Winners

Access complete archive of all past giveaways and winners:

Archive Access

All completed giveaways are automatically archived and accessible from the dashboard Giveaways section.

History Table Columns

Prize:Name of the giveaway prize
Winners:Number of winners selected
Entries:Total valid entries received
Ended:Date and time giveaway ended
Winners List:Clickable link to view winners

Past Winners Search

  • • Search by prize name
  • • Filter by date range
  • • Sort by entry count, participant count, or date

Winner Badges

Visual badges indicate users who've won multiple times. Hover to see win count and prizes won.

Bulk Giveaway Operations

Perform actions on multiple giveaways simultaneously:

Bulk Pause

Select multiple active giveaways and pause them all at once. Useful for server maintenance or announcements.

Bulk Resume

Resume multiple paused giveaways simultaneously.

Bulk End

End multiple active giveaways at the same time. All will be ready for winner drawing.

How to Use Bulk Operations

  1. 1. Enable checkbox selection mode in the giveaways list
  2. 2. Check boxes next to giveaways you want to affect
  3. 3. Click the bulk action button (Pause, Resume, End)
  4. 4. Confirm the bulk action

Giveaway Analytics

View detailed analytics about participation and engagement:

Participation Metrics

Total Entries:Sum of all entries including multipliers
Unique Users:Number of distinct participants
Participation Rate:Percentage of server members who entered
Entry Method Split:Distribution of reaction vs button vs command entries

Engagement Metrics

  • • Time to first entry (how quickly people joined)
  • • Entry rate over time (entries per hour)
  • • Peak entry time (when most entries came in)
  • • Eligible vs ineligible entry ratio

Prize Performance

Compare metrics across different prizes to see which types generate the most engagement. Use this to inform future giveaway planning.

Analytics Export

Export giveaway analytics as CSV or PDF for further analysis in spreadsheets or reports.
