Game Intel Subscriptions
How Game Intel Subscriptions Work
Game Intel subscriptions let you monitor and share gaming-related content in your Discord server. Track game updates, patch notes, free games, discounts, driver releases, and more from 200+ games. Subscriptions use a powerful two-step source selection system allowing you to monitor all games or choose specific titles.
Two-Step Source Selection
Game Intel uses a flexible two-step selection process to choose what to monitor.
Step 1: Scope Selection
Choose whether to monitor all games or specific games using a toggle or SearchableSelect:
- • All Games - Monitor content from every supported game
- • Specific Games - Monitor only games you choose
Step 2: Game Selection (When Specific)
When choosing "Specific Games", a multi-select SearchableSelect dropdown appears with 200+ games alphabetically sorted.
- • Type to search for games
- • Autocomplete suggestions as you type
- • Alphabetical listing for browsing
- • Select multiple games for one subscription

Organization Strategy
Consider creating dedicated channels for different types of Game Intel (updates, deals, drivers) to keep content organized and prevent noise.
Delivery Modes
Choose how frequently and how content from subscriptions is delivered to your channels.
Live Delivery
Post content immediately when detected. Best for time-sensitive information.

Digest Delivery
Batch content into summaries. Reduces notification spam while maintaining information.

Digest Time Configuration
For digest modes, set what time digests are sent. Choose a time when your community is active to maximize engagement.
Delivery Best Practices
- • Use Live for critical patches and security updates
- • Use Digest for sales and driver updates
- • Use Hybrid for balanced notification management
- • Set digest times during server peak hours

Posting Strategies
Different approaches to managing multiple subscriptions and their content.
Strategy 1: Category Channels
Create separate channels for different content types:
- • #patch-notes for all patches
- • #free-games for free offers
- • #game-sales for discounts
Strategy 2: Game-Focused Channels
Create channels per major game community:
- • #valorant-news for Valorant updates
- • #ffxiv-updates for Final Fantasy XIV
- • #elden-ring-news for Elden Ring
Strategy 3: Single Feed Channel
Post all Game Intel to a single #gaming or #game-updates channel. Requires careful configuration to prevent overwhelming with too many subscriptions.
Strategy 4: Forum Channel Hub
Post everything to a forum channel where topics are auto-organized by game. Best for large communities with diverse game interests.
Choosing a Strategy
Consider your community size and game diversity. Larger communities benefit from organized channels or forum setup.
Start simple with category channels and expand as your Game Intel usage grows.
Managing Multiple Subscriptions
Build a comprehensive Game Intel system by creating multiple subscriptions.
Multiple Subscriptions Per Server
Create unlimited subscriptions. Example setup for an active gaming server:
- 1. Patches for all games → #patch-notes (Live)
- 2. Free games for all → #free-games (Daily digest)
- 3. Sales for all → #game-sales (Daily digest)
- 4. Driver updates → #driver-news (Weekly digest)
Game-Specific Subscriptions
Create targeted subscriptions for games your community cares about most. All subscription types with specific game selection.
Subscription Management Interface
View all active subscriptions. Edit, pause, or delete subscriptions without starting over. Track subscription details: type, games, channel, delivery mode.
Subscription Status
See active status for each subscription. Temporarily pause subscriptions without deleting. Resume paused subscriptions anytime.
Subscription Statistics
Track posts per subscription, last post time, and content volume. Helps identify overactive subscriptions or potential issues.
Scaling Subscriptions
Start with 2-3 broad subscriptions (all games, all types). Add specialized subscriptions as needed.
Monitor content volume to ensure you're not overwhelming your channels.
