Events Overview

SYNTHET Events is a comprehensive event management system for scheduling community events, collecting RSVPs, sending automatic reminders, and managing one-time or recurring activities.

Dashboard Guide

Manage all events from the Events page in your SYNTHET dashboard:

Events Page

Central hub for event management:

  • • Create new events with rich forms

Calendar View

What are Events?

Events are scheduled occurrences in your Discord server that members should know about. Whether it's a weekly game night, monthly community meeting, holiday celebration, or milestone achievement, SYNTHET helps you create, announce, and manage these events with ease.

Each event includes scheduling, descriptions, images, RSVP management, reminders, and can be one-time or recurring. Members can RSVP to express interest, and you can track attendance and engagement.

Event Scheduling

SYNTHET supports flexible scheduling to fit any event pattern:

One-Time Events

Schedule a single event for a specific date and time. Perfect for special occasions, holiday events, or one-off gatherings.

Recurring Events

Set events to repeat weekly, biweekly, monthly, or on custom schedules. Great for regular game nights, community meetings, or scheduled activities.

Timezone Support

Set event times in your timezone and SYNTHET converts them appropriately for members viewing in different timezones.

Duration

Set how long each event lasts. Used for scheduling, duration display, and reminder timing.

Event Images & Branding

Make events visually appealing with custom images and branded content:

Event Thumbnail

Small image (thumbnail) shown in event listings and calendar views. Perfect for event type icons or quick visual identification.

Event Banner

Large banner image shown at the top of event detail views. Great for promotional artwork or thematic imagery.

Color Theming

Assign colors to events for visual categorization in calendar and list views.

RSVP System

Gauge member interest and plan accordingly with the built-in RSVP system:

RSVP Options

  • Going: Member is confirmed attending
  • Interested: Member is interested but not confirmed
  • Not Attending: Member won't be attending
  • No Response: Member hasn't responded yet

RSVP Tracking

View RSVP status for each member and see aggregate counts (X going, Y interested, Z not attending).

Anonymous RSVPs (Optional)

Option to allow anonymous RSVPs for privacy-conscious events.

Event Reminders

Automatically send reminders to keep members informed about upcoming events:

Reminder Timing

Set reminders to send automatically at specified times before the event (1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, etc.)

Reminder Channels

Choose which channel(s) to post reminders in. Can be event-specific channel or a general announcements channel.

Reminder Content

Customize reminder message with event details, RSVP counts, and call-to-action.

Member Mentions

Optionally mention members who RSVPed "Going" or "@here" to notify active members.

When enabled, each event can have a dedicated channel where:

  • • Event updates and announcements are posted
  • • Participants can coordinate and socialize
  • • Channels are auto-archived after the event

Weekly Game Night

Every Friday evening at 8 PM for gaming and socializing

First Sunday of each month at 2 PM for server updates

Best Practices

Getting Started

Ready to create your first event? Follow these steps:

  1. 1. Go to Dashboard → Events
  2. 2. Click "Create Event" button
  3. 3. Enter event title and description
  4. 4. Set date, time, and timezone
  5. 5. Upload event image (optional but recommended)
  6. 6. Enable RSVP and reminder settings
  7. 7. Choose recurring pattern if applicable
  8. 8. Review and create the event
